Marine Algae

Marine algae which belong to a group of plants called algae. Many algae are plants that are very small and consists of a single cell. They are simple plants, without flowers, leaves, or stems that remain. Algae can live in almost all places, a tree trunk, in the pool, and at sea. Marine algae are the largest type of algae. The algae can grow to 65 feet in length. Marine algae growing along the rocky shore or meet the surface water with air in the bag on his strand. This plant can not live more deeply, because not enough light to perform photosynthesis.

Marine algae that live along the coast often have a heavy vacuum. The vacuum is also called a fast catcher. This fast catcher is the anchor of this plant. Therefore, marine algae are not washed away by high tides.

In some countries, like Japan and Ireland, at certain times, these marine algae will be harvested. This plant is widely used as food, fertilizer plants, and to make shampoo, toothpaste, and ice cream.
